Promoting a Social Alliance for Public Health

GOAL

Promote the integration and partnership of the social, professional and community sectors to work jointly in advancing public health issues.

OBJETIVES

To provide a forum for critical analysis of the population's health issues, at the national and international level. To evaluate the contributions of Public Health to society and its influence on current social policies. To examine the academy-society relationship to face Public Health challenges ahead. To showcase Public Health advancements, challenges and possibilities from the theoretical, educational methodology, research and service perspectives. To promote an exchange of information of effective Public Health model programs and intervention modalities. To influence the health system in the determination of priorities and key action plans to address the most pressing public health issues in Puerto Rico.
