I am delighted to inform you about recent news, events and accomplishments at the University of Puerto Rico School of Pharmacy.
In August 2012, the School officially moved to its new building at the Medical Sciences Campus, where faculty, students and personnel are enjoying the new and more open and comfortable spaces.
The School has started the commemoration of its Centennial Year with a variety of activities and events. Please visit our webpage as well as the link to our Alumni Association to learn about past and upcoming events.
The Community Pharmacy Residency is about to graduate its first cohort, and we are very pleased with its continued progress. The Medication Therapy Management initiative is already in progress with several of our faculty collaborating in this endeavor.
Our faculty continues to achieve recognition in scientific as well as professional initiatives, including publications in peer reviewed journals and grant awards, community engagement and professional activities. All these efforts have a significant impact in the academic programs of the School. The Doctor of Pharmacy Program continues with its full accreditation, and several curricular revisions will be implemented during the 2013-2014 academic year, including an increased number of advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) hours.
The School continues to increase its collaboration with local partnering institutions, as well as with other schools of pharmacy, so students can gain experience from a wider variety of practice scenarios.
Please refer to the following link: Alumni Information Form to provide us with your most recent contact information and accomplishments, as well as suggestions for the School of Pharmacy Centennial celebration activities.
We hope to continue to inform you of future developments at the School, and we invite you to visit this webpage periodically. We count with your support.
